Blog Assignment:  What is Rhythm?

Miss Taylor did a wonderful job of presenting her information in a multisensory learning approach; her topic was “What is Rhythm?” She used a combination of teacher-centered and also student-centered learning to convey and teach her class about rhythm.  Having instruction is important and so is the reinforcement of those materials.  Miss Taylor also guided and involved the students to join in as well, when teaching about rhythm.  Miss Taylor allowed her students to too participate with her and the other students to get a better understanding of the information and to make learning fun and enjoyable.  I appreciated the way she went over the material more than once, and also she had written and simplified the information she wanted the students to really grasp.  Miss Taylor asked the students if they were getting the material (using active learning and cognitive learning), she did this in different steps of her teaching, and thus making sure everyone was getting the information.  Miss Taylor spoke in a bright and cheerful way and that helps set the stage for a better response from her students. I believe that Miss Taylor has presented the material in a way that her students can learn by using the boards and repeating her instruction, making sure everyone was on the same level and also getting the students involved was a great way to present this lesson.
